It's no surprise that we were immediately drawn to artist Michelle Ciarlo-Hayes's whimsical work—she's a former librarian who repurposes pages from damaged library books into her art! She's created this beautiful art block just for Bas Bleu: a serene photograph of a sailboat floating beneath the night sky, the scene graced with the heartening quote above. The lovely artwork is mounted onto a reclaimed 5"x5" wooden block lovingly covered with vintage dictionary pages (so each and every piece is unique!).
