In 1931, Certain Members of the Detection Club—who at that time included G. K. Chesterton, Agatha Christie, and Dorothy Sayers—collaborated to write a mystery novel called The Floating Admiral. The Detection Club still exists and now includes the likes of Simon Brett, Peter Lovesey, and L. C. Tyler. In 2016, this new generation of writers came together to create The Sinking Admiral. This seamless work of crime fiction is set in a small English village where a pub owner is found dead in his dinghy. The investigation (led by Amy, the bartender, as well as the rather bumbling local police) ensues…and it all gets a little trickier when another dead body turns up at the victim's funeral! Mystery lovers will enjoy this special collaborative work.
