Cheerful yellow stripes and willow branches surround a dainty vignette depicting the legend of the pussy willow and adorn an exquisite tea service for one. Many springtimes ago, a mother cat was weeping on a river bank because her tiny kitten had fallen into the pond while chasing butterflies. The willow at the river's edge longed to help so she swept her graceful branches into the water to rescue the kitten. The kitten gripped tightly to her branches and was brought safely to shore. Each springtime, goes the legend, the willow branches sprout tiny fur-like buds where the kitten once clung.  Introducing our exclusive, in-house designed toile print.
