As if there's not enough in politics to amuse us all in an election year, we offer Paul Slansky's compilation of some of the funnier gaffes made by modern American politicians. While Slansky includes enough of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Michael Dukakis to offer at least an attempt at fairness, the book is clearly heavy on George W. Bush, Richard Nixon, and Dan Quayle. But then one has to consider the wealth of available material. Some will find this all hilarious; others will be outraged. But 2008 is sure to prove a contentious year, regardless, so those who ,can find humor in it all might as well have a laugh or two.
